Job summary

Mecsmart Systems, located in Newmarket, Ontario, seeks a skilled Machine Builder to join our team. You will assemble equipment with emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and safety, following schematics and specifications across projects for multiple industries.

We value collaboration, problem solving, and strong communication. Opportunities exist at junior to senior levels with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Travel for installations may be required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Precision Metals or Millwright.
• Own required trade tools and maintain them.
• Experience with automation equipment assembly.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel globally for installations and service.

Responsibilities

• Precision alignments and set ups of mechanical components
• Installation of pneumatic components
• Troubleshoot, identify, and modify tooling
• Document all build changes
• Install components by following schematics, drawings and specifications
• Manufacture tooling as needed
• Maintain a 5S and visual plant floor
• Support problem solving during assembly, warranty or service
