Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in Winnipeg, MB seeks a Work Planner to coordinate scheduling, safety and client communications. The role is full-time, year-round with overtime, paying $30.00 per hour. A Class 5 license is required, with travel up to 5 days as needed, and reliability screening.

Ideal candidates are organized, punctual and able to work outdoors, with proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Android. GIS experience is a bonus, as is sound knowledge of safety policies and utility

• Must be professional with strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly, and overtime as necessary.
• Must be able to travel up to 5 days at a time depending on work needs.
• Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass Winnipeg Police Service Reliability screening.
• Must have a current Class 5 license.
• Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position (i.e., walk on uneven grounds, carry 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid and WHMIS Certifications
• Must be able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring good public relations and a positive company image.
• Coordinating with property owners and utility customers.
• Making necessary contacts with utility customer representatives and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
• Ensuring compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
• Working with Management to ensure work is mapped and planned accordingly, and all necessary permissions are attained in a timely manner.

Lucas Tree Experts, a leader in the tree care industry, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Work Planner. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, punctual and reliable with strong communication, customer service, time-management and organization skills. The preferred candidate will have experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, and the android mobile platform; experience with GIS or other computerized mapping software a bonus but not required.
The candidate for this position will be required to pass a Winnipeg Police Service Reliability Screening. A Class 5 drivers license is required, while Class 3 would be an asset.
