Job summary

William Joseph Communications is seeking a Junior Web Developer on a contract basis to support website development projects. The role focuses on building WordPress sites with Elementor, turning designs into responsive, accessible webpages, and delivering quality digital experiences.

You will collaborate with design, content, and project management teams, maintain sites, troubleshoot issues, and ensure launches stay on schedule while following established coding standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years web development experience.
• Experience building WordPress sites with Elementor.
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles and modern web standards.
• Experience configuring WordPress plugins and themes.
• Understanding hosting environments, domains and DNS concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor and related tools.
• Convert approved designs and wireframes into responsive pages.
• Configure content, layouts, navigation, and page templates.
• Support website launches, updates, and ongoing maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs across devices.
• Optimize for performance, accessibility, and UX.
• Collaborate with designers, strategists, content creators, and PMs to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to development standards, workflows, and documentation.
