Job summary

Tayco is hiring a Wood Product Assembler to join our Cabinetry Team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will assemble desks, credenzas, file cabinets, hutches, and storage units while using pneumatic guns and other hand tools in accordance with our SOPs.

We value reliability and teamwork; this role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, attention to detail, and following WHMIS and OHSA safety guidelines. Afternoon shift offers a premium, with opportunities for growth and development within Tayco.

Qualifications

• Operate hand/power tools (drills, pneumatic guns, wrapping machines, etc.) and pump trucks.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work.
• Multi-task and adapt to changing conditions.
• Collaborate well with others and build effective working relationships within the department.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and carry/move/position items with safe handling.
• Understand and follow WHMIS and OHSA safety practices; must be trained in Health & Safety.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assemble desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, storage units and affix hardware according to SOPs.
• Use pneumatic guns and other tools to complete tasks as required.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and comply with Health & Safety policies.
• Follow company policies and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
