Job summary

Tayco is seeking an Industrial Millwright to join our Maintenance Team. The role focuses on analyzing and troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and modifying equipment to meet production needs.

Ideal candidates have a 433A Millwright certification, at least five years in manufacturing maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and proficiency in reading and following English instructions.

Qualifications

• Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification required.
• Minimum five years of experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance role.
• Experience in machining and/or equipment operations.
• Proficient in English (reading/writing/speaking) and able to follow instructions.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and math skills.
• Knowledge of CNC, Brake Press, Welding, and assembly fixtures.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with safety and OSHA/WHMIS awareness.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Tayco is looking for one enthusiastic individual to join our Maintenance Team as an Industrial Millwright. The Industrial Millwright will have the opportunity to analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment, diagnose, and correct problems in a timely manner to avoid production delays. The successful candidate will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned machinery, equipment, and structures and will be required to modify and fabricate equipment to fit new production requirements.

• Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification is required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in wood or metal manufacturing.
• Possess experience in industrial maintenance and/or repairs in any of the following areas: machining, and/or equipment operations.
• Is able to understand, speak, read and write English. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions and, in some situations, document them as accuracy and attention to detail is necessary. In addition, must be able to read and understand health and safety procedures, document work, train others, problem solve in teams, learn new work processes, and participate in continuous learning and weekly team meetings in English.
• Must have a strong mechanical / electrical aptitude and mathematical skills.
• Is knowledgeable of manufacturing processes to include but not limited to CNC, Brake Press, Welding, and assembly fixtures.
• Is able to work with minimal supervision.
• Detail orientated and is able to detect errors that would cause disruption in service, damage to equipment, monetary loss, or some loss in prestige or program value, and could affect the work of other departments.
• Is able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of, and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupation Health and Safety Act (OSHA) as well as other applicable laws and codes.
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.

• Hours: 6:30am to 3:00pm
• Pay Rate: $44.18/hour.
