CIMCO is looking for a Panel Wiring Technician for our facility in Burlington.

Position Details

Unionized Position - Full Time

Role: Panel Shop Wireman

Responsibilities

1. Read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wire diagrams, 1-line and 3-line diagrams.
2. Maintain a neat work environment and handle expensive equipment carefully.
3. Manage project-specific materials in an organized manner.
4. Collaborate with engineering staff and CAD to complete projects on schedule.
5. Understand wiring processes and identify errors.
6. Ensure accuracy and neatness in wiring practices.
7. Follow complex instructions and diagrams effectively.
8. Work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
9. Diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of components, assemblies, or systems.
10. Set up testing for panels and relevant equipment.
11. Test electrical panels according to instructions and standards.
12. Install electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, VFDs, or PLCs.
13. Learn and understand various control systems, including new or old designs and utility-style relay panels.

Qualifications

1. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
2. Minimum of three years of experience required.
3. Physical fitness to perform shop and field work, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
