Job summary

Beanfield is seeking a WiFi & Enterprise Networks Operations Engineer in Toronto to handle day-to-day support, monitoring, maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting of wireless and enterprise network infrastructure. You will work with NOC, Network Engineering and Information Security teams to ensure reliable, performant services for internal teams and customers.

The role requires 3–5 years hands-on experience in network operations, wireless deployment and enterprise switching/routing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network operations or related technical roles.
• Experience configuring, deploying and troubleshooting wireless network infrastructure (Ruckus preferred; Cisco or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise switching and routing platforms (Cisco, Arista).
• Knowledge of VLAN, STP/RSTP, LACP, 802.1X, BGP/OSPF basics.
• Experience with wireless site surveys, RF troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with firewall operations (FortiGate an asset) and ITSM/ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operation, monitoring, maintenance and support of Beanfield's wireless network infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy and commission wireless access points and controllers per standards and MOPs.
• Conduct site surveys, RF analysis and performance optimization.
• Support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including core/distribution/access switching and routing (Cisco/Arista).
• Manage VLANs, ports, and L2/L3 switching; assist firewall operations and VPN support.
• Act as hands-on responder for escalated incidents and document RCA and incident handling steps.
• Collaborate with NOC and engineering teams; maintain accurate diagrams, runbooks and SOPs.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency.
