The role involves fabricating s lips, splicing, and operating a range of specialized machinery to ensure product integrity.

The candidate should have manufacturing experience with tools, be able to lift up to 70 pounds, and be comfortable standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and refurbish wire rope slings and lifting assemblies.
• Operate Swaging, Test-bench, Reel Coiler, and Annealing machinery.
• Familiar with rigging terminology and procedures.
• Test strength and flexibility of wire rope, chain, and synthetic rope.

Salary Range: $22.00 To $24.50 Annually

Job Purpose:

The Wire Rope Fabricator will fabricate and refurbish wire rope slings and other lifting assemblies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricating/Splicing various slings (Synthetic Rope, Wire Rope, Chain, hardware)
• Operating Machinery; Swaging Machine, Test-bench Machine, Reel Coiler Machine, Annealing Machine,
• Familiar with rigging equipment terminology & procedures
• Testing strength and flexibility of Wire Ropes / Chain / Synthetic Rope, Wire Rope Terminations, Rope Removal Criteria, Wire Rope Examination Procedures

Job Requirements:

• Must have experience in manufacturing role working with various tools.
• Forklift experience highly preferred, willing to certify.
• Lifting Gear Inspection, Wire Rope Examiner and ASME rigging fundamentals and requirements.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be authorized to work in the Canada without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
