Job summary

Schweitzer at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking a part-time Repairs Technician for winter duties, servicing guests and rental fleets with ski and snowboard tuning. You will explain technical terms clearly and perform repairs under supervision, including sidewalls, edges, bindings, and top sheets.

Responsibilities include recommending additional services based on equipment and snow conditions, and working weekends, evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of ski/board construction and binding design and function.
• Must achieve 80% or higher on binding manufacturer exams.
• G drivers license required.
• Physically fit and able to lift 40 lbs.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Repair Shop Technician provides ski and snowboard tuning and repairs to our day and overnight guests.
• Able to explain technical terms in a manner that the guest will understand.
• Conduct repairs (under supervision) including sidewall repairs, edge repairs, installation of bindings, top sheet repairs and general tune ups.
• Make recommendations to guests for additional services based on equipment and/or snow conditions.
• Tune and repair the rental fleet to the schedule directed by the Supervisor or Coordinator.
