Job summary

Ledcor Road Maintenance in Fort Nelson, BC is offering winter highway maintenance roles on the Sierra Yoyo Desan. We value safety, community and career growth, with industry‑leading wages and comprehensive training within Ledcor.

You will operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment, perform highway maintenance tasks such as crack sealing, pothole repair and signage cleaning, and work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outside in all weather conditions.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Perform highway maintenance tasks including assisting with labor duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications:

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working outside in all weather conditions
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Work Conditions:

• As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
• Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC union
• Local applicants only (No camp)

Compensation

$30.76 - $37.72 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
