Job summary

Ledcor Road Maintenance on the Sierra Yoyo Desan highway in Fort Nelson, BC seeks team-oriented individuals to help keep the highway safe. We offer industry-leading wages, excellent training and career growth potential within Ledcor.

You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of the SYD highways using various heavy equipment. Full-time positions require a valid Class 1 or 3 license with air endorsement, the ability to work outside in all weather, and the willingness to perform

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working outside in all weather conditions.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

• Perform highway maintenance tasks including assisting with labor duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Perform highway maintenance tasks including assisting with labor duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)

Work Conditions:

As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required.

Compensation

Compensation $30.76 - $37.72 per hour This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
