Job summary

IGM Financial Inc. invites motivated students to join IG Wealth Management for a Winter internship in Winnipeg from January to April 2027.

This full-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and exposure to the Architecture Governance team, architecture principles, patterns and standards used to enable digitized processes. As an intern, you will collaborate with team members, gain business and technical knowledge, and contribute to the Community of Practice

Position

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a Winter term position, January to April 2027, in our Winnipeg Office. Candidates in an undergraduate program who will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply.

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.

The Architecture Governance team coordinates and facilitates federated Enterprise Architecture at IGM. The team are key members of the Architecture Community of Practice at IGM ensuring architecture principles, patterns and standards are used to enable modern, simple, digitized processes in support of changing business needs and organizational strategy. The Architects and Analysts in the Architecture Community of Practice are distributed across technology teams, providing direction, traceability and transparency in the delivery and operations of technology platforms and solutions that support IGM’s business strategy.

As an intern, you will work with various members of the team and will have an opportunity to contribute to the Community of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze systems and data to support problem solving
• Gain both business and technical knowledge required to compete assigned tasks and define/implement solutions that effectivity support technology teams
• Participate in production and coordination of communication activities within the Architecture Community of Practice and the Delivery Organization

Requirements

• Enrolled in a business or computer science program
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to investigate, analyze, interpret data and solve problems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Positive attitude, adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges
• Knowledge of Productivity and Service Management platforms
• Knowledge of Automation, AI, and Reporting and Analytics tools and processes
• Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS) is an advantage

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is $44,000 - $47,000, which is determined based on year of study, IGM program, geographic location and candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for paid time off.
