Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is hiring winter seasonal road maintenance workers to support Alberta highways from October through April, with potential for year-round roles.

The team operates snowplows and heavy equipment across multiple locations, offering safety training, benefits, and retirement plans. Successful applicants will handle winter maintenance tasks, travel to various Alberta sites, and work shifts including nights on occasion.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
• Previous snowplow truck or wheel loader experience is an asset; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta highways and assist with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, signage cleaning, hazard remediation).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
