Job summary

Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) is seeking Winter Highway Maintenance Workers for Service Area 7 (Fraser Valley). You will operate plow and sanding trucks, assist with road repairs, and work with a skilled crew to keep roads safe during winter.

This seasonal, full-time role is outdoor, physically demanding, with shifts that may extend in winter weather. Applicants must have a valid Canadian driver’s licence and be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Canadian driver’s licence with a clean abstract; minimum Class 3 with Air Brake endorsement.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather; labour-intensive role.
• Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays; on-call for snow events.
• Previous snow plowing and heavy equipment experience is an asset.
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clear obstructed drainage and perform roadside vegetation maintenance.
• Operate snow removal/sanding equipment to remove snow/ice.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Change snowplow blades as needed.
• Perform maintenance on equipment and plow trucks.
• Other duties as required.
