Job summary

Manulife is seeking a motivated Business Technology Co-op in Toronto for a 4‑month term (Jan 5–Apr 22, 2026). The hybrid role requires in‑office presence Tue–Thu, with remote options Mon and Fri.

You'll support business analysts and IT project coordinators, translating needs into BRs, user stories, and process flows. You will work with datasets, develop reports, and help manage project schedules while gaining exposure to enterprise systems and tools within Manulife/John Hancock.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to support business decisions and project planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through on action items in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into clear documentation such as BRs, user stories, and process flows.

We are currently looking for highly motivated students to join us in Toronto, Ontario, Canada office for a 4-month co‑op, running from January 5th – April 22nd 2026. This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday‑Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Position Responsibilities

  • Organize and update key project artifacts including meeting notes, action items, risk logs, and process maps using tools like SharePoint
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to support business decisions and project planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through on action items in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and/or Confluence

Please note the salary range is expected to be between$40,950 CAD to $56,550 CAD.

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro‑rated based on the length of the work-term.
