About the Role

The WCB Nova Scotia is seeking one (1) student to support day-to-day operations of our Employer Compliance team. The term runs from January 4, 2027, to April 30, 2027, for a period of 17 weeks. Our student employment program aims to provide students with valuable work experience that contributes to their education and helps them gain work experience. The Prevention & Employer Engagement Analytics Co‑op Student will make an impact by transforming data into meaningful insights, enhancing business processes, and supporting key operational activities that help drive informed decision‑making across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for students studying Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related programs who are eager to apply their Excel, reporting, and analytical skills.

Role specific duties include:

• Format and maintain business intelligence reports for the Prevention and Employer Engagement Team.
• Analyze data and prepare clear, digestible summaries and insights for team use.
• Support administrative activities related to process development and improvement.
• Assist with documenting and updating processes, procedures, and team resources.
• Perform general account maintenance and data management tasks.
• Provide administrative and operational support to help achieve team objectives.

Your Experience & Skills

• Have or be completing the first year of a post‑secondary program and enrolled in a co‑op program (those contacted for an interview will be asked to provide confirmation of enrolment in a co‑op program for the winter 2027 semester).
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience creating reports in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
