Job summary

The Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB Nova Scotia) in Dartmouth, NS, seeks a Procurement Co-op Student from January 4, 2027, to April 30, 2027, for 17 weeks. This student employment program offers hands-on procurement and facilities exposure within our operations.

You will create purchase orders, verify supplier details, maintain records, manage inventory and meeting room bookings, and assist both teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program and in a co-op for Winter 2027.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue purchase order numbers.
• Create PO records and validate supplier information to ensure procurement process compliance.
• Maintain contracts, policies, invoices, and reports.
• Manage inventory, office supplies, furniture, and equipment.
• Oversee meeting room bookings, setup, and space utilization for a great employee experience.
• Support both procurement and facilities teams as needed.
