Job summary

KGS Group, an employee-owned engineering firm, is seeking a Project Manager for its Winnipeg Mechanical-Industrial team. You will manage day-to-day activities, scheduling, and client communications from the Winnipeg office, interfacing with contractors and staff.

The role requires a strong technical background in engineering and construction, plus 8+ years in project management. Travel to multiple project sites in Manitoba is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in project management, project engineering, or construction management.
• Engineering degree (B.Sc.) from a recognized college or technologist diploma; P.Eng. in Manitoba preferred.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites within Manitoba.
• Strong organizational skills and ownership mindset to drive momentum and complete projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day project management support, scheduling and contract administration.
• Prepare and issue project communications such as emails, memos, and reports.
• Develop or modify project documents and participate in procurement processes.
• Perform field services such as inspection, auditing, and quality assurance.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary technical reviews of drawings and work plans.
• Mentor junior project staff and lead multidiscipline engineering pursuits.
• Support business development and proposal writing efforts.
• Travel to work sites as required.
