Job Description: Windows System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Windows System Administrator to manage and support our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows Server environments, virtualization, and security protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and administer Windows Server 2008/2012/2016.
• Manage physical and virtual servers to ensure maximum uptime.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS issues and handle escalated L3 support.
• Implement and monitor Windows security, including permissions, file sharing, and event logging.
• Maintain Active Directory and network infrastructure.
• Support server builds, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Document technologies, standards, and procedures.
• Administer VMware ESX servers, create VMs, and manage templates.
• Assist in P2V and V2V conversions using VMware tools.
• Monitor VM performance and ensure security compliance.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues using ILO and Client SIM.
• Upgrade hardware firmware for servers from vendors like Dell and IBM.
• Perform regular health checks and optimize server performance.
• Support on-call rotation to maintain SLA commitments.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Willingness to work in shifts and on-call.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and related tools.
• Experience with BMC Control-M, CFT, Connect Direct, and NetBackup is a plus.
