Job description

Immediate need for Wind Turbine Service & Maintenance Techs who can start immediately, with experience in service, maintenance, and construction support. Technicians will be required to join one of the construction industry unions upon employment and follow all CCQ rules and regulations.
  • Travel to and work at wind farms under construction or newly constructed
  • Inspect and maintain wind turbine components to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on wind turbine systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collect data for research and analysis to improve turbine efficiency and safety.
  • Operate machinery and equipment required for turbine maintenance and repair, working closely with other team members.
  • Assist other wind technicians, while under the supervision of lead techs.
  • May be authorized to perform specific tasks independently or under supervision.
  • Will be supporting site management on various service and maintenance punch‑list tasks to enable operations of the turbine.
  • Work safely, competently and productively under the direction of others.
  • Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical and safety issues.
Must meet the following requirements, have or obtain the listed required certifications and training (may be provided) including, but not limited to:
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience in wind turbine maintenance, installation, or repair
  • GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) required or will be provided
  • Prefer GWO BTT Certification (Basic Technical Training); technical competence in electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, and turbine components
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities to ensure all punch‑list items are resolved efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively with engineers, installation crews, and project managers.
  • Must be a member of or join one of the construction industry unions upon employment.
  • Must hold or obtain a CCQ competency certificate.
  • Local to Canada (Quebec preferred); Canadian citizen or work authorized
  • Quebec Competency Card
  • Ability to work an 8 week on, 1 week off rotation
  • Physically able to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+ (300+ feet), stand, stoop, walk, crawl, crouch, stoop and generally meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Must have experience using a grease gun, doing filter changes, using ERAD system, doing torquing and tensioning and similar service
  • ASP Training required
  • Valid and current driving license with a satisfactory driving record (satisfactory MVR is required)
  • Must be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicle
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English; French fluency preferred
  • Satisfactory criminal background check
