Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Wind Tunnel Model Designer for the Experimental Department at Marcel-Laurin Plant. The role focuses on developing wind tunnel models and integrating instrumentation for aerodynamics testing across Stability & Control, Takeoff and Landing, and High-Speed programs.

Required are 15+ years of wind tunnel design experience, CATIA V5 or NX proficiency, and bilingual English/French communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Minimum of 15 years of wind tunnel model design experience.
• Eligibility to obtain CGP access for Canadian defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and validate wind tunnel models for aerospace programs.
• Integrate instrumentation: balances, sensors, strain gauges and DAQ systems.
• Perform preliminary structural analyses for aerodynamic loads on models.
• Design mechanical installations for experimental systems and test rigs.
• Collaborate with Experimental Workshop to support fabrication and assembly.
• Translate customer requirements into robust, cost-effective solutions.
