Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC seeks a Professional Engineer to perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analyses for aircraft structural dynamics. You will develop finite element models in MSC Nastran and support testing activities across design teams, ensuring airworthiness and design integrity.

The role requires a aerospace-educated engineer with experience in aeroelastic methods, CFD tooling, and programming in Matlab/Python/C/C++. Bilingual English/French is preferred; hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Eng with aerospace specialization.
  • Experience in aerospace industry.
  • Experience in aeroservoelasticity analyses.
  • Experience developing finite element models in MSC Nastran for aeroelastic applications.
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C/C++.
  • French and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations in support of new design studies and continued airworthiness.
  • Use engineering judgment to select methods, techniques, and tools for complex issues.
  • Prepare and maintain finite element models to perform aeroelastic analyses.
  • Maintain, develop and document methods and in-house software.
  • Support and interact with other engineering disciplines such as Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, and Flight Controls.
  • Support ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT) and post-process results.
  • Document analyses and findings in certification reports and presentations (English).
