Qualifications

  • University degree in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, production, facility operations, or a related industrial environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead operational improvement initiatives, and use performance data to drive business results.
  • Strong working knowledge of health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with frontline teams, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project; experience using operational reporting tools is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safe, reliable, cost-effective, and high-performing operations across plants in Western Canada.
  • Translate business priorities into disciplined regional execution and management routines for facility leaders.
  • Manage budgets, spending, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives to improve profitability and returns.
  • Develop facility managers and operations teams to strengthen accountability, capability, and succession readiness.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Partner with procurement, logistics, and technical services to ensure material availability and dependable customer service.
  • Ensure quality systems, product standards, testing requirements, health and safety obligations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to resolve issues and improve business outcomes.
  • Use data and KPIs to identify risks, communicate performance, and recommend corrective actions.
