Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Western Canada Irrigation Leader to drive irrigation planning and design for major projects. You will oversee engineering studies, design work, and field investigations, guiding a multi-disciplinary team across Alberta and western Canada.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in water resources, a Civil or Agricultural Engineering degree, and P.Eng registration. You will be involved in client relations, proposals, and staff development while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience on water resources or conveyance projects with focus on irrigation planning and design.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent.
Registration as a P.Eng with Alberta or Saskatchewan engineering bodies.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering studies, design, and documentation for irrigation and water conveyance projects.
Coordinate fieldwork and multi-disciplinary teams.
Lead client management, business development, and proposal preparation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to staff development.
Travel within Alberta and western Canada as required.
