Job summary

Nature’s Fare Markets in Surrey, BC, seeks a Wellness Operations Manager to lead nutrition, ingredient integrity standards across our stores and products. You will guide nutrition governance, education, and program development to uphold our credibility and customer promise.

You will partner with Category Management, R&D, Marketing, and Operations to train teams, conduct audits, and translate science into practical standards, with travel across BC as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dietetics program with current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Dietitians of BC is preferred.
• A degree in Human Nutrition, Nutrition Science, Dietetics, Food Science, or related field may be considered with relevant experience.
• Diploma or certification in holistic/integrative nutrition is an asset.
• Experience interpreting nutritional research and regulations for business use.
• Experience cross-functionally with product, culinary, marketing, and operations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as the internal authority for nutrition, ingredient integrity, and wellness standards across the business.
• Own and maintain product ingredient standards and updates as science/regulations evolve.
• Lead semi-annual reviews with leadership on nutrition trends and recommended changes.
• Provide governance to ensure products align with standards via audits and education.
• Collaborate with R&D to offer nutritional consultation for prepared foods.
• Monitor trends and translate them into credible business decisions.
• Develop an annual nutrition and wellness plan with prioritized initiatives.
• Design and deliver nutrition training for stores and teams.
