Job summary

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is seeking a Full-time Sous Chef to lead culinary teams across our spa village kitchens. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will ensure high standards, manage schedules, and mentor staff to deliver memorable guest experiences.

This role requires flexibility with days, evenings and weekends. We offer a competitive CAD 60,000–80,000 salary, health insurance and a premium thermal experience as part of our wellness village, fostering collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

• Reports to Executive Chef and leads culinary teams.
• Ensures compliance with hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Manages ordering, food costs, and recipe development.
• Supports Front of House artisans to ensure seamless service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation and cooking operations across multiple kitchens and restaurants, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Set and enforce departmental standards and policies; drive efficiency and workflow improvements.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections to ensure hygiene and safety compliance.
• Provide hands-on leadership during peak service periods and mentor staff.
