Job summary

NOV in Alberta seeks a WellChek Operator to perform production tubing inspections at customer sites, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will liaise with on-site representatives and operate the WellChek unit, including routine calibration, maintenance, and data interpretation to meet specifications.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and a commitment to safety. Training opportunities and a path for advancement are available with NOV.

Qualifications

• Experience in well pipe inspection or used tubing inspection is an asset.
• H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certifications are assets.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the truck and equipment mounting.

• Participate in required training programs.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The WellChek Operator will perform over the well pipe inspection of used tubular goods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the inspection of production tubing at customer well sites in a safe and efficient manner.
• Liaise with onsite customer representatives in a professional manner.
• All duties associated with the operation of the Used Tubing WellChek Inspection Unit, including the everyday operation, maintenance, size change-over, and calibration/standardization of the unit.
• Maintenance of the truck in which the inspection equipment is mounted.
• Review and interpret the data generated by the inspection equipment and grade the pipe per applicable specifications.
• Perform required Used Tubing WellChek Inspection Unit maintenance and repair and coordinate the ordering of the unit inspection equipment, parts, and supplies with the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
• Participate in training programs as required by the company.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in over the well pipe inspection or used tubing inspection procedures and techniques is considered an asset.
• Current certification in H2S Alive and Standard First Aid considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Some travel required.
