Job summary

Meridian Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a welding-focused production area. You will oversee safety, quality inspections, and staff performance, while coordinating with line leaders to meet takt times and production schedules.

You will train and develop employees, manage time-off and staffing, and collaborate with Human Resources on hiring and disciplinary actions to maintain efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding manufacturing environment or knowledge of welding processes.
• Experience with MRP/MRPII systems is an asset.
• CWB certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production activities and personnel in the department.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure PPE usage according to SWP.
• Review quality inspections and address non-conformances (NCR).
• Monitor performance, attendance, and training; conduct bi-weekly performance meetings.
• Collaborate with HR to interview and onboard new staff; handle disciplinary matters.
• Ensure training, line efficiency, takt time adherence, and smooth workflow.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to optimize production schedules and bottlenecks.
