Job summary

JobsMedia.io in Lévis is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or automated welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal parts end-to-end.

Ideal candidates have 7 months to less than 1 year of welding experience and hold an applicable diploma. French language is required; work is 40 hours weekly in a permanent role.

Qualifications

• 7 months to less than 1 year of welding experience.
• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Read welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
• Understand and interpret welding process specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
