Job summary

Fronius Canada is seeking a Welding Application Technician - Perfect Welding in Mississauga to support end clients and dealers across Canada. The role involves testing, system installation, and providing expert technical guidance on robotic welding and manual welding processes.

Experience with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and robotics is valued. Willingness to travel across Canada, USA and Europe plus a valid driver's license are required. Competitive benefits and vacation are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 year diploma in Welding Engineering Technology.
• 2–4 years of experience in welding.
• Strong hands‑on welding skills (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW).
• Robotic welding experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel Canada/USA/Europe.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide application technical support for end clients and dealers in Ontario and across Canada.
• Organize and execute product tests at customer sites and share knowledge with Fronius International.
• Assist in design of system installation parameters and support the sales process.
• Evaluate client needs for upgrades or upsells to installations.
• Conduct demonstrations and training events for customers and distributors.
• Install and integrate welding systems and software at client locations.
• Perform test welds and document results.

At Fronius Canada we are currently looking for a passionate Welding Application Technician - Perfect Welding to join our TSN Team at our Mississauga location. What you will be doing:

• Application technical support for end clients and dealers in Ontario and across Canada as required.
• Organization and execution of product tests at customers during the pre-serial/test phase as well as forwarding this knowledge to Fronius International
• Responsible for supporting the Area Sales Manager and/or the sales process in the design of system installation parameters for routine configuration and installation of Fronius product to clients and potential clients.
• Evaluates the client's needs for upgrades or up sells of current or new installations.
• Works independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations providing product guidance and support and addressing installation and product usability issues of routine to moderate complexity.
• Attends/facilitates presentations or develops proposals, conducts demonstrations, acting as the technical expert.
• Providing application advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors and dealers
• Welding system and software installation and integration at client location.
• Carrying out test welds of client or prospective client prototypes and/or samples and documenting the results on the Fronius intranet.
• Programming, troubleshooting and testing of robot control units
• Conduct training events for team members, distributors, dealers and end clients
• Providing technical support for the introduction of products/systems/processes onto the market
• Forward feedback about market, competition, product to Fronius International
• Participating in trade fairs and providing technical support at regional and national events.
• Other tasks as required

What we are looking for:

• 3 year diploma in Welding Engineering Technology with 2-4 years of experience
• Good hands‑on welder (SMAW, GMAW & GTAW)
• Experience with robotic welding is an asset
• Strong trouble shooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Must be willing and authorized to travel throughout Canada, USA and Europe.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
