Job summary

Maple Leaf Railing Ltd. in British Columbia is seeking a production/helper to join our on-site metal finishing team. You will operate cleaning equipment, transport materials, and assist fitters and metal workers to prepare finished products.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to stand for long periods, and the handling of loads up to 23 kg. Prior experience is an asset, and the job must be performed at the plant location.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually
• Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
• Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers
• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Load and unload vehicle
