DECAST, located near Barrie, ON, is hiring an experienced Production Welder/General Labourer. The role involves fabricating and assembling steel components for infrastructure products under the supervision of a Production Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, interpret blueprints, and have at least 4 years of experience. The position offers a pay range of $33.90 - $40.20 per hour along with comprehensive health benefits and a pension plan.

We are looking for an experienced Production Welder/ General Labourer to join our team in Utopia, ON (just outside of Barrie, ON). Under the direction of a Production Supervisor, this position will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, fitting, and installing steel and/ or other metal components for our infrastructure products according to engineered drawings and blueprints.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setup and use of Mig, plasma, torch, grinder, drill, iron worker, transit, etc.
• Fitting and fabrication of new formwork
• Repair and service of existing formwork
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Work effectively on a team as well as on an individual basis while maintaining tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintenance of equipment in a condition that follows proper LOTO procedures in accordance with our Health and Safety Policy/Procedure and the OHSA

Skills, Education & Experience

• Overhead crane and rigging experience
• CWB Ticket required.

• Skilled in the use of MIG, Stick, all positions
