Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow weld symbols on drawings and written/verbal instructions.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications.
• Fill out paperwork as required and operate equipment safely.

Job Description

This 6 month project will be mainly multi pass fillet welds on structural beams

Set up, adjust and shut down welding equipment as necessary

Responsible for Flux Core and metal core welding

Follow weld symbols on drawings and use written or verbal instructions as directed

Inspect completed welds to ensure that they meet company and customer specifications

Must Have:

• Training on overhead cranes, rigging, forklift and other safety training an asset

Shift

• Day Shift (1st) 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday
• Afternoon Shift (2nd) 3:00pm to 1:30pm Monday to Thursday

Wage

• $30 to $45 an hour

Work Environment

• Working in a large manufacturing/jobbing shop
• exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud > grinders, hammering, ohc moving around so employees have ear protection
• there are several welding stations
