Job summary

FDI Services Inc. in Edmonton, AB, is seeking experienced welders for a night shift (12 hours) on a 4-on 4-off schedule. The role involves welding piping, structural steel and components according to layouts and blueprints, with opportunities to support other trades as needed.

Candidates must hold an Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman welding ticket, a valid B Pressure certificate, and CSTS .09; valid all positions SMAW CWB ticket is preferred, TIG/Stainless experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman welding ticket.
• Valid B Pressure certificate.
• Previous welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Need CSTS .09 Construction Safety Training Systems.
• CLAC testing for F3/F4 weld procedure is required.
• SMAW CWB ticket for all positions; TIG/Stainless is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops patterns for projects or follows directions in layouts, blueprints and work orders.
• Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.
• Welds piping, structural steel and components as required.
• May perform other related duties and support other trades as needed.

• Develops patterns for projects or follows directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders
• Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
• Welds piping, structural steel and components as required
• May perform other related duties assigned, willing to support other trades as required

Requirements

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Valid B Pressure certificate
• Need to be sent to CLAC to test for F3/F4 ticket with our weld procedure
• Valid all positions SMAW CWB ticket
• Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting
• Must possess valid CSTS .09 (Construction Safety Training Systems)
• Tig/Stainless Experience would be considered an asset.
• Must possess valid government issued photo identification

Work Conditions

• Located in Edmonton, AB
• Night Shift Position / 12 hours of work per day
• 4 Days on and 4 Days off
• Must have clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation to get to and from site.
