Job summary

FDI Services Inc. is seeking an experienced welder for night shift in Edmonton, AB. The role involves welding piping and structural components across industrial projects, with 12-hour shifts and a 4-on/4-off schedule.

Qualified candidates will have a Red Seal or Journeyman Welding ticket, industrial welding experience, and relevant safety certifications. A valid B Pressure certificate and CSTS are required; TIG/Stainless experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman Welding ticket required.
• Valid B Pressure certificate.
• CLAC F3/F4 ticket with weld procedure.
• SMAW CWB ticket valid for all positions.
• Industrial welding experience required.
• CSTS .09 certification required.
• TIG/Stainless experience preferred.
• Government issued photo ID required.

Responsibilities

• Develop welding patterns from layouts, blueprints or work orders.
• Clean, inspect for defects and shape components, sometimes using a cutting torch.
• Weld piping, structural steel and components as required.
• Willing to support other trades as needed.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops patterns for projects or follows directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders
• Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
• Welds piping, structural steel and components as required
• May perform other related duties assigned, willing to support other trades as required

Requirements

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Valid B Pressure certificate
• Need to be sent to CLAC to test for F3/F4 ticket with our weld procedure
• Valid all positions SMAW CWB ticket
• Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting
• Must possess valid CSTS .09 (Construction Safety Training Systems)
• Tig/Stainless Experience would be considered an asset.
• Must possess valid government issued photo identification

Work Conditions

• Located in Edmonton, AB
• Night Shift Position / 12 hours of work per day
• 4 Days on and 4 Days off
• Must have clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation to get to and from site.
