Job summary

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls division, is seeking a Welder Apprentice in Nisku to perform welding and fabrication under a Journeyperson. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment and work on prototypes, fixtures and metal structures, following WPS and established welding procedures (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).

This role supports continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, participates in safety programs, and aims toward Journeyperson certification while maintaining

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and welding symbols.
• Active enrolment in an approved Welder Apprenticeship program.
• Willingness to obtain CSA W47.1/W47.2 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and apply blueprints and welding specs under supervision.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to join metal using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SMAW.
• Perform basic fabrication tasks and assist with inspections and quality checks.
