Job summary

  • Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes
  • CWB welding certification a plus. Must be able to obtain CWB certification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
  • Knowledge of safe workplace practices

Responsibilities

  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation.
  • Welding equipment maintenance.
  • Work in accordance with CWB & DIN6700 welding standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Production Supervisor / Charge Hand

Cooperates with: Welders, Metal Fab Operators, Shippers, Safety, Customer Service

Primary Responsibility of Welder:

Performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG Welding based on product needs.
  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform necessary tasks.
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and assembly techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measures, hammers, levels, squares, manual and power tools, forklifts, and cranes to assemble to stated requirements.
