Job summary

MIRATECH is seeking a skilled welder to perform MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly in a production environment. You will read blueprints, use fixturing techniques, and ensure welding work meets product specifications.

The role requires a couple of years in manufacturing, strong safety practices, and the ability to lift 30 lbs. CWB certification is a plus, with potential for certification during employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and complete duties with little supervision.
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
• Proficient in use of tools (tape measure, calipers, forklifts, cranes).
• CWB welding certification is a plus; must be able to obtain CWB certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in production/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. individually and heavier with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building functions per specifications.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to perform tasks.
• Work with fixturing and assembly techniques.
• Weld to stated requirements using manual/ power tools and equipment.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure compliance with CWB & DIN6700 standards.
• Complete process inspections, certification, and documentation.
• Perform ongoing equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Production Supervisor / Charge Hand

Cooperates with: Welders, Metal Fab Operators, Shippers, Safety, Customer Service

Primary Responsibility of Welder :

Performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG Welding based on product needs.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform necessary tasks.
• Working knowledge of fixturing and assembly techniques.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measures, hammers, levels, squares, manual and power tools, forklifts, and cranes to assemble to stated requirements.
• Use pneumatic tools, grinders, and shears.
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Welding equipment maintenance.
• Work in accordance with CWB & DIN6700 welding standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
