Position Overview

Fit and weld materials manually or semi-automatically. Lead daily tasks and liaise with the Shop Foreman.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Read and interpret blueprints.
2. Review engineering drawings; coordinate with supervisors to plan material use and task sequences.
3. Perform welding in various positions.
4. Construct patterns and templates for layout.
5. Lay out reference points on heavy steels as per specifications.
6. Handle materials, move and store as needed.
7. Assemble and fit metal parts using welding, bolting, etc.
8. Operate heavy and light-duty metalworking tools and equipment.
9. Install fabricated components in final products.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid CWB and AWS welding tickets or in process
• Minimum 4 years experience

Terms of Employment

Full-time, days or afternoons (non-rotating).

Compensation

Depends on experience and education.
