An established industry player is looking for a skilled Welder to join their Physical Plant team. This role involves performing essential welding tasks to maintain and repair infrastructure, including custom fabrication and working with various materials. We are seeking a skilled and certified Welder to join our FP&M Physical Plant team at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The ideal candidate will perform welding tasks to maintain and repair university infrastructure, including steel structures, custom fabrication, and stainless-steel and aluminum components. This role involves both shop-based work and mobile welding tasks across campus, collaborating with various campus partners, including research departments, transportation services, and campus services.

Holders of a registration with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services must have passed relevant welding tests within the past year, according to AWS standards.
