Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both MIG and TIG welding techniques and have experience working with stainless steel enclosures, pressure-tested vessels, and robotic welding equipment. This role requires a strong ability to interpret blueprints and shop drawings while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various projects.
• Fit and weld stainless steel enclosures with variable shapes and sizes.
• Utilize robotic welder for bushing welds.
• Weld pressure-tested vessels ensuring no leaks.
• Interpret and weld according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Utilize metric and standard measurements.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
• Follow proper procedures for setting up and using welding equipment.

Must Haves

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to interpret welding symbols and drawings/blueprints.
• Experience with pressure vessels and stainless/mild steel.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Certified Welding Bureau welding certificate is a plus.
• Experience with other welding equipment including grinders, sand belt, ironworker, and band saw.
• Experience with overhead crane operation is nice to have.

Work Environment

Our facility is a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment equipped with advanced technologies to ensure efficient and effective production. The work environment is air-conditioned and heated, providing comfort during all seasons. The shift is 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, reporting to the Welding Team Lead. They are also open to an Afternoon shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
