Job summary

Kapco Metal Stamping is seeking a Tool & Die Maker for the weekend shift at our Grafton, WI facility. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building and repairing metal stamping dies and will work with progressive dies, jigs, and fixtures to meet precise tolerances.

Mandatory 2-year trade school or equivalent and Journeyman’s Card. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a sign-on bonus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bench and machine operations.

Qualifications

• 2-year trade school or equivalent; Journeyman’s Card.
• 5+ years of experience building new metal stamping and progressive dies.
• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read blueprints and prints and set up tooling.

Responsibilities

• Building new and repairing dies, including progressive dies, jigs and fixtures.
• Holds extremely close tolerances to reduce costs and improve speed and quality.
• Lays out and performs bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair dies, jigs, fixtures and tools.
• Performs tool and die maintenance and repair duties.
• Verifies quality and print specifications are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Building new and repairing of existing die consisting of progressive dies, jigs and fixtures
• Holds extremely close tolerances, which will reduce the cost and improve the speed and quality of various production operations
• Lays out and performs bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair dies, jigs, fixtures and special tools
• Performs tool and die maintenance and repairmandiary duties
• Verifies quality and print specifications are met
• Other duties as assigned
