Job summary

Carter Murray is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a weekend shift in Montreal. You will oversee shop floor production, drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to meet KPIs and customer commitments.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in operations or related field, 5+ years in manufacturing, and 3+ years in supervision. French/English fluency and strong Excel skills are required. Salary range reflects experience and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or technical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience; union experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational performance and KPIs.
• Fluent in French and English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shop floor production aligning with customer orders and schedules.
• Optimize resource allocation to meet production goals.
• Monitor budgets and align with financial objectives.
• Enforce Quality, Training, 6S, ES&H policies.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Address non-conformances and audit findings on time.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to optimize workflow and meet TATs.
• Deliver on KPIs for ES&H, Quality, Productivity, TAT, and Cost.
• Support development of short- and long-term business plans.
• Maintain relationships within a unionized environment where applicable.
