Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Oakville, Ontario is seeking a Machine Shop Technician – Grinder to perform grinding on aircraft components on a weekend night shift. Reporting to the Supervisor – Processing, you will operate grinding equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years in grinding/lathe/CNC machining, and experience reading blueprints with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in Grinding/Lathe/CNC Machining.
• Experience with shop practices including lathe/Turning/Grinding.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• ID and OD grinding of large chrome and HVOF plated aircraft components.
• Participate in lean initiatives (5S, TPM, process improvement teams).
• Coordinate priorities between operators and shifts.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
