Catholic Social Services in Wainwright, AB is seeking a part-time Community Disability Worker to provide high-quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities living in the community. The role focuses on daily living activities, personal care, recreation and empowerment.

The position requires flexibility for 32 hours per week, weekend shifts, and a valid Class 5 license with vehicle and insurance.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education; Diploma/Degree in Disability Services or related field preferred.
At least 6 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR.
Vulnerable Sector Check from local RCMP or city police detachment.
Clear and Current Drivers Abstract; vehicle and Class 5 license to transport clients.
Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage and Vehicle Registration.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in the community.
Assist with daily living activities and social events to promote dignity, independence, and empowerment.
Engage in community recreation activities and be a positive role model.
Work in shifts that include weekends due to 24-hour program operation.
