Job summary

Above-and-Beyond-Care-Services-In is seeking a dedicated Community Disability Support Worker for weekend shifts in Alberta. The CDSW supports individuals with disabilities to achieve personal goals and maintain independence in daily living while respecting dignity and preferences.

The role involves frontline care, medication reminders, mobility support, meal prep, and community participation, with a focus on person-centered plans and safety. Independent contractor status applies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Human Service Field preferred.
• PSW or HCA certification preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Administer or remind clients to take medications.
• Help with meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Support mobility and transfers using assistive devices.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with errands, appointments, and community activities.
• Observe health changes and report to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and confidentiality.
