Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead test automation efforts across web, API and mobile layers.

You will design comprehensive test strategies, develop and maintain automated test suites (Selenium, Postman), participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and drive quality governance throughout SDLC/STLC with strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Experience in banking/financial services is a plus, and excellent communication and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Software Testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java) and UI Test Automation.
• Experience in API Testing using Postman and knowledge of API Automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for complex applications.
• Experience troubleshooting complex issues at both the application and code levels.
• Expertise in defect management, root cause analysis, and test execution reporting.
• Knowledge of web, mobile, and API testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, estimation, and test execution.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA, JTMF, and Confluence.
• Experience implementing automation frameworks and improving test coverage and quality metrics.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, CI/CD pipelines, and quality governance.
• Previous experience in Banking, Wealth Management, Brokerage, or Financial Services domains is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute full QA strategies and test plans for complex software.
• Create and maintain automated test suites (Selenium, API tests).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
• Identify, document, and track defects; perform root cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality governance across SDLC/STLC.
