Job summary

Scotiabank’s Wealth Management division is seeking an enthusiastic co-op student for the Winter 2027 term in Toronto. The internship provides exposure to the full-service wealth-management business, with hands-on support to Advisor teams and direct client interaction.

You'll collaborate across Scotia Wealth Management, participate in ongoing learning sessions, and gain valuable networking opportunities while developing critical skills in client service, analysis, and presentations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Interest in wealth management and Scotiabank.
• Willingness to learn and support Advisor teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level support to Advisor teams by processing client requests and opening new accounts.
• Maintain client files accurately and document information with required follow-up.
• Liaise with various areas to remediate client issues.
• Assist with presentations, materials, and client events.
• Support to develop and strengthen prospecting relationships by creating, building, and maintaining prospect databases and profiles.
• Identify new prospective relationships via client/partner referrals or lead lists.
• Prepare or support the preparation of marketing/presentation materials.
• Contribute to the effective functioning of the Advisor, Branch and Regional teams by maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Acquire detailed knowledge of policies, processes, products & services and participate in new ideas.
• Participate in monthly Scotia Wealth sessions and collaborate with partners to move deliverables forward.
