Job summary

Scotiabank's ScotiaMcLeod Internship/Co-op in Victoria, BC offers students a hands-on opportunity within the Wealth Management advisory teams. The term runs January 2027 to April 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week and an application deadline of October 5, 2026.

Interns work directly with Advisors, supporting business development, day-to-day administration, and special projects to gain exposure to the advisory industry and Scotia Wealth Management.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Experience implementing AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Advisor team by processing client requests and opening new accounts.
• Maintain and document client information and follow up; escalate issues as needed.
• Liaise with internal teams to remediate client issues and assist with presentations and events.
• Support prospecting by building a prospect database and preparing marketing materials.
• Contribute to the Advisor's effective functioning with high customer service levels.
