Job summary

Pembina Valley Water Cooperative in Stephenfield, MB is hiring a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join the team at the Stephenfield Facility. Training will be provided to obtain water plant operator certification. Applicants with relevant experience may be eligible for higher starting wage.

The position offers an excellent benefits package and a rotating schedule including some weekends. The starting salary is $25–$29 per hour for an Operator-in-Training with no prior experience, and applicants

Qualifications

• Water treatment experience or certification welcomed.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in inclement weather.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Post-secondary education or experience in mechanical or electrical field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day control of the water treatment process to ensure potable water quality and supply.
• Perform routine maintenance, process checks, troubleshooting and related duties.
• Contribute to labs, administration and responsibilities related to reservoirs and pumping stations.
